Autumn Rays
I don’t get out much, in fact I haven’t been out since the first of this month and even that was an hospital appointment. No worries though as it’s not exactly been very nice out there, so cold and wet. This photo was taken on the 30th October and I love how it shows the Autumn rays of sunshine, even though it was cold.
The photo was taken in Bournville Village, near to my home and even nearer to Cadbury World. It’s a place I never get tired of talking about as you can see on my post about the carrilon
We’d just been to a pottery painting session which was rea fun. We will be getting our finished pottery back soon but in the meantime here’s a photo of Boo, deep in concentration on her piece.
Pottery
I love pottery painting, it’s so relaxing and the kids have fun too. It also creates bonding as I can see Star and the Little Man in conversation in the background. I think it may be something I take up regularly, probably without the kids as it costs so much when everyone is taking part. In particular when they start picking more than one piece to paint. I think in the end we had three Christmas baubles, a Santa plate and a gorgeous rainbow trinket box in the shape of a Star, made by Star.
I still have the reindeer bauble I made at Center Parcs in 2012 when I won the opportunity to become a Center Parcs blogger. Since then we have often painted pottery when on holiday.
Autumn Rays are missing now
It’s been a miserable week weather wise and I’ve not seen any more Autumn rays, apart from the ones that nearly blind me through my patio doors. I really do need to get out more before the weather gets even worse.
I love Bournville – it’s so pretty! I didn’t realise you were a fellow Brummie! We upped and left there three years ago to move to Wales though x
Ahh! The weather has been awful lately and it is nice when the sun shines. What a gorgeous photo of Bournville Village.
It sounds like you had fun pottery painting.
The weather has certainly gone downhill since the end of October! What a lovely photo of Boo painting, and what a nice thing to do as a family. I do hope you manage to get out again soon.
I’ve always found arts and crafts round the table always results in sibling harmony. I love hearing them chatter away. Bet you can’t wait to get your pottery back! #mmbc
I still want to visit Bourneville – I’d just eat the entire contents of the factory though! Thanks so much for linking up and for sharing your snaps with #MySundaySnapshot xxx
You do get lots of free chocolate on the way around and even tubs of melted chocolate to eat with a spoon mmmmm. The chocolate shop is open to the public though and you can buy all your favourites in bulk too. Before Cadbury World the factory would have a chocolate shop for it’s workers where they sold everything that wasn’t quite perfect for a fraction of the price. I’m so glad my Auntie worked there, especially at Easter. 🙂
I just love the skies in autumn, so moody & atmospheric #MySundaySnapshot
I love autumn skies they are my favourite time of year. My kids love painting pottery too. We have a great ceramics place xx #MySundaySnapshot
