I love reading through my Facebook memories…probably a lot more than reading through Facebook these days! I collect anything funny I see and keep them to put in a blog post. Here is my latest offering.
2008 Star’s First Facebook Status

I’d left Facebook open on the computer and a 3 year old star climbed up and typed this in, all by herself. I didn’t correct her punctuation, not when she had such perfect spelling.
2012 Quote From Peppa Pig
“the best way to make it rain is to have a bbq”
ok, who’s been trying to have a bbq for the last 5 weeks?
Peppa Pig was a huge part of our lives for many years, but what a true quote. We even tried to have a BBQ last Friday, it had been sunny all day but as soon as we started getting everything ready, it rained! I guess in 2012 it was a pretty wet summer!
2012 Helicopters
Never known a little boy not to like planes or helicopters. The Little Man runs in the house crying ‘no like ‘copters’ when one goes over. He’s currently standing on the doorstep saying ‘bad ‘copters’
Bless him, at 2 years old he was not a fan of loud noises. He still has issues with hand dryers in public toilets but otherwise most things don’t bother him now. In fact he likes to listen to sirens in some of the games he plays.
2014 Face Paint Problems
Star having real trouble coming to terms with Boo and The Little Man having their faces painted, she won’t play with them or look at them. She wouldn’t have hers done either…she used to love it 🙁
We had a day out at the Wildlife Centre and there was a lady there painting all the kids faces like animals. Star suddenly decided she hated face painting and has never liked it since. Even at almost 15 years old she can’t bear to be near a child with face paint on.
2015 Toilet Horror
Yesterday afternoon The Little Man called me for some help in the toilet. When I walked in he was sitting with his legs open looking down the bowl laughing away to himself…very strange I thought, so I asked him what he was doing. He quickly shut his legs and looked at me sheepishly “nothing mummy!”
So I get him some baby wipes for the clean up and he gets all excited,
“can I flush, can I flush, mummy!”
So I say yes he can flush…..
he jumps off the loo and there’s a huge bloody big spider running around the toilet bowl!!
He flushes but the damn thing is still there afterwards!
The Little Man is in hysterics, he thinks it’s hilarious.
I’m like, “where did it come from, how did it get there?”
Then he says, “it was in the sink so I picked it up and put it down the toilet”
BOYS!!
No explanation needed. He’s not scared of spiders.
2019 Baby Shower
We are off to a baby shower this afternoon. Boo asked “oh is that where we watch the baby have his very first shower? ” No, I told her baby hasn’t been born yet. Cue one very confused little girl.
The baby, my great nephew, is now one year old 🙂
