Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My phrase this week is ‘The One I Love’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts toMix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
My Word of the Week – The One I Love
I’m joining in with Blogtober this month, and the prompts are all musical. Today’s prompt is The One I Love so I’m going to use that as my phrase of the week. Here he is!
Can you see how happy we were! We got married in November 2016 after I proposed to him on February 29th the same year. He’d always wanted to get married, but I wasn’t so keen having done it all before. But then I thought it would be nice to make an honest man of him 🙂
Graham is 10 years younger than me and I really didn’t think we would last, but he’s stuck by me for 19 years now (almost) and we have three kids together. He loves his music and you will always find him in his shed playing his guitar. He also loves football, which I don’t so he tends to watch sport upstairs while I watch my dramas and such downstairs. Romantic eh! We have recently started watching The Umbrella Academy together though, and he’s enjoying it. I’ve seen it all before but he won’t get any spoilers from me.
Are you still looking for a person to love, or wondering what path your life will take? Maybe Cartomanzia can help you.
If you want to join in my Word of the Week linky it’s open every Friday until Monday and you can link up with any post that sums up your week either in a word or phrase.
Here’s my badge and the linky is below.
Awww 🙂 what a lovely post!
Aww what a lovely read, and you both look so happy on your wedding day x
What perfect words to choose this week. You sound like a very happy couple. Long may it continue. I do think a shed of your own is probably a good ingredient in any marriage. I do love your dress and flowers. Thank you for hosting.
What a lovely couple you are and Graham sounds like the perfect gent xx
Awww that wedding pic is one of the most joyful things !!! I love that to proposed too!!!
Ahh … true love. That’s the way the best couples work, I reckon, room to do your own thing, and bond over the important stuff

Honestly, he does my head in if we try and watch television together, he never shuts up, lol. Yet, he’d go mad if I talked all over the football. We do what works for us.
Aww! This is a lovely story!
My new man is 6 years younger than I am. It’s so strange how people are more shocked by 36 year old me having a 30 year old man than they were when I was 17 and my boyfriend was 29. People baffle me! I’ve linked up 😀
I was 36 when I met Graham (well, I already knew him before, but it’s when we got together.) He did seem a little young but I didn’t expect him to stick around, lol
Ahh! I never thought of combining posts for Blogtober and this. lol I do like to make more work for myself. lol
You and Graham are such a lovely couple. My fella and I rarely watch TV together. Even when we watch the same shows we watch them at our own pace. lol x

I have so many posts to write over the next few days I’m going to have to be a little inventive 🙂 I guess Graham is ok, lol x
Gorgeous photo. Congratulations.

Thanks for hosting! It’s not easy summing up the week in a word. My word or words are “writing and connecting.” I’m diving back into blogging after quite the hiatus. And I’m having a blast sharing my thoughts, making new friends, and reconnecting with old ones.
So a huge thank you for hosting and for another opportunity to share and connect. Congrats on 19 years of marriage—that is awesome!

You guys make a lovely couple. Thanks for sharing your story!
What a lovely photo of you both, so glad you changed your mind about getting married!
We have, watched series 1 of umbrella academy, but the older children are under strict instructions no spoilers as we haven’t started series 2 yet!
How cute! It’s so nice to hear you proposed to him! That’s so rare.

I absolutely love this idea of reflecting on the past week and trying to sum it up in one word, I think I might need to give it a go of this at some point!
What a beautiful bouquet 🙂 My husband and I are the same with TV, it’s rare that we watch the same series these days!
