Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My phrase this week is ‘crazy’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Crazy
A little change from last week when we were ‘chilled’ This week has definitely had it’s crazy moments.
Back to school has gone well. The girls were a little nervous at first but the school has been amazing with the reduced hours and special classroom. Both my girls are being taught in the same room. The Little Man has gone back happily, he does love school. I will be sad if they do fall to the COVID virus. They’ve been lucky so far in a highly infected area.
It’s be crazy getting ready each day though. I think it was easier when they all went off together. We have to get up early and get the Little Man off, then get the girls up and start all over again. Then Graham has to pick up the girls, and is shortly running out again to pick up the Little Man. School runs have never been so crazy.
Then there is the new lockdown in England. Once again we are being told to stay home if we can, go to work if we can, go to school, go to the shops, don’t go to the shops, don’t go to school if someone has a positive COVID test and so one. One more load of crazy rules. Maybe it will all be made clearer in the next few days.
As for the craziness over the pond in the USA. I can’t even comment. I’m writing this in advance of the final results but I just hope whatever the outcome they can keep the peace.
In a week of terrorist attacks, high alerts, COVID numbers rising, the presidential vote, earthquakes, war and so much more it has certainly been one crazy week. How difficult life is at the moment.
To stop myself from being overwhelmed by the craziness, I’m going to have a relaxed weekend turning off the news and getting out my wool.
Stay safe everyone, and big hugs to anyone caught up in any of the craziness at the moment including those feeling ill.
Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
Sometimes turning the news off and doing other things is the only way to keep your sanity. Glad the kids have settled back to school.
It certainly has been a crazy week. Your school run sounds like it doesn’t leave much of the day for anything else. Perfect that your two girls are being taught in the same classroom. It does make sense. It is impressive that Little Man’s school has stayed Covid free. (I’m touching wood, after writing that) Hope you have a lovely weekend and stay safe. Oh, I missed not joining in last week.
Hey Anne, What a shift in words, from calm to crazy. But living in the U.S. I get it. I, too, hope we all keep the peace. And, I with COVID rising as quickly as it is, I think we’d be wise to follow your example and be far more cautious too.
Hoping your weekend is filled with moments of calm amid the chaos—and hoping the same for us too 🙂![](data:image/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyBoZWlnaHQ9IjIwIiB3aWR0aD0iMzAiIHhtbG5zPSJodHRwOi8vd3d3LnczLm9yZy8yMDAwL3N2ZyIgdmVyc2lvbj0iMS4xIi8+)

I’ll second that matey. It certainly is crazy! I love the sound of shuting off, relaxing and getting the wool out. I think I will be doing the same. Have a good one. x
This past week has seemed a little crazy with everything that’s gone on.![](data:image/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyBoZWlnaHQ9IjIwIiB3aWR0aD0iMzAiIHhtbG5zPSJodHRwOi8vd3d3LnczLm9yZy8yMDAwL3N2ZyIgdmVyc2lvbj0iMS4xIi8+)
I am glad the return to school for your girls has gone well. I hope them being taught in the same room has helped put them at ease.
I have been following the US election and as of writing this they still haven’t declared the winner. x

Crazy is a good word to sum up everything that’s going on at the moment. I can imagine trying to juggle staggered start times with multiple children is crazy. Glad that Little Man is happy to be back and the girls’ school have been good. As for the news – well, I’m with you on switching it off and trying to enjoy a relaxing weekend. I’ve been avoiding it as much as possible for the sake of my mental health – it just makes me so anxious otherwise. Hope you have a good weekend. Thanks for hosting #WotW![](data:image/svg+xml;base64,PHN2ZyBoZWlnaHQ9IjIwIiB3aWR0aD0iMzAiIHhtbG5zPSJodHRwOi8vd3d3LnczLm9yZy8yMDAwL3N2ZyIgdmVyc2lvbj0iMS4xIi8+)

I hope you had a relaxing weekend. I was so relieved once I heard the US results – hopefully life will be a little less crazy over there now and they will finally be able to get a grip on treating the virus.
Have a good week!
