Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘half term’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – HALF TERM
This week we have had our half term holiday from school. It felt like everyone was on holiday last week and we had to wait a bit longer. It’s not been overly exciting though. I’ve not seen much of the girls as they have been mostly stuck in their bedrooms, popping down just for food. The Little Man has been around and trying to keep off screen time as much as possible. We’ve played some board games and watched some movies, and he went out with his Dad to visit his Grandma.
On Wednesday I was off out again, probably be the last time for a while apart from hospital visits. I went with a friend to watch Don Quixote Ballet which was really stunning. The story was loosely told, but it was mostly about the dancing. Visually beautiful and so exciting to watch.
Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
We’ve been on half term this week too. It was lovely to switch the alarm off! Glad you’ve had a nice week.
That sounds like a lovely week. I get used to kids only showing up for food when they’re home! I think a lot of parents have got used to it too. The dancing sounds lovely too, and reminds me of the book I’m currently reading: The Twins, where one is an avid dancer.
I feel that everyone seems to be on half term this week. I would have much preferred this week as the weather has been better. Not that it would have made much a difference my girls mostly did their own thing when they were on half term.
It sounds like you had a lovely time at the ballet.
Have a great weekend x
We were on half-term last week too. Sounds like you had a nice chilled out one on the whole and glad you got to go and see the ballet too. #WotW
