This week I would like to share some crochet sunflowers with you.
This one is from a book a friend brought me for Christmas with patterns for 3D crochet Granny Squares. I love Granny Squares and they are a great way of using up excess wool. It’s lovely to create them too, I’m just not so sure what to do with them. I must have about 50 different ones now. I decided to crochet a sunflower as it’s associated with Ukraine. I changed the background colour to blue to highlight the Ukraine flag colours. (In the book it was a light green colour.)
I like the 3D effect, maybe I could make a few of them and turn them into something useful.
The next sunflowers are just Granny Square crochet sunflowers that I made without a pattern and used up some spare wool lying around. Again I used the colours of Ukraine. I’ve put them on my coffee table as coasters but they’ve not been used yet.
My New Bag
Next I’d just like to show you something a bit different. As I was on a roll with the granny squares I decided to make granny square bag. It’s only a small bag, but I may make a bigger one. I’ve put it for sale in my Etsy Shop.
I love my little shop but I sometimes wonder what to make that people will actually buy. I love making scarves and hats but with summer coming up I can’t see people wanted them. I can make amigurumi (Small figures) but I find them tricky and tiring one my hands and eyesight. I can make toys but again they seem to be fiddly. I’ll think of something I’m sure, I’ll browse some of the other crochet shops and see what they are making. I’m going to give my Readers a special 20% off code to use in my shop SAVE20 or use this link

Beautiful! Maybe you could package 4 or 6 granny squares together and sell them as a set of coasters. Eveyone will need coasters for protecting their tables from the condensation on summer cold beverages,
Yes, that’s a good idea, maybe I could do four different flowers to make them summery?
I really like these sunflowers and also the bag. These are colourful and look neat too. You are very creative and talented.
Thank you x
The crochet creations are fantastic. I love the sunflowers, they’re so pretty and the bag is just brilliant. x
Thank you Kim x
What a beautiful creation x #mysundaysnapshot
Thank you Sam x
The sunflowers are lovely! How about selling them in your shop and maybe offering to donate a percentage to Ukraine? The bag is gorgeous too.
I’m thinking of making a few and selling them as coasters, a donation is a great idea and I’ve thought about that already.
BTW, the link to your shop is not working 🙁
Thanks, I see what I did wrong now x
The sunflower is bright and beautiful. You are a skilled crafter with a hook. #MMBC
Thank you Carol x
You are so skilled! Love the sunflower granny squares. The bag is really fabulous too!
Thank you Ellie x
The sunflowers look beautiful, specially the 3D one, and bag looks simply amazing. With that kind of talent, I know you will figure something out that your customers would love to have.

I love the colours of the sunflowers, especially with the blue of Ukraine. You could definitely sell sets of coasters on your shop!
They are beautiful… you are so talented and the subject is so special right now. Thanks for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
