Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘river’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – River
Life can be like a river, forever flowing, forever changing, sometimes too much, sometimes too little. I’ve had a few very different weeks. One were I was in hospital a lot getting my treatment, being out all the time, seeing other people. Then another where I was at home all the time, feeling rough (probably because of the treatment) and not seeing anyone or doing much at all. Then this week I’ve been a bit more active with shopping and deciding to take my family on a day out to the River.
We went to Stouport-On-Severn which is only about 20 miles from home. We had a lovely last day of freedom before the kids went back to school on Thursday. It was a lovely day out, if a little quiet. Stourport is a usually such a bustling busy place but it’s kid based so only busy on school holidays and weekends. If we had chosen to go next Monday (bank holiday) we probably would have had trouble finding a car park space.
It was lovely to be by the river though, so peaceful and beautiful. We need to go back sometime busier though, The Little Man really wants to go on the boat ride and the fairground.
Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
Your past few weeks have all been so different. I am glad you have got out and about a bit. It sounds like you had a lovely day out with the kids. x
I’m so glad you had such a good time visiting the river. I’d really love the boat ride indeed. Sounds like this week you found your balance between lots of busyness and staying home too much.
Your day by the river sounds perfect. I much prefer the quieter days. Always nice when you are the only school not back and you can visit places like this.
Sounds like you had a lovely day out by the river and what a lovely way to finish off the Easter break. Hope this week has been a good one so far. #WotW
