It’s been a tough couple of weeks with Star being poorly again. We spent another weekend in hospital and now she’s home with her own district nurse team and boxes of medical supplies. This weekend my Brother and Sister-in-law came to visit and brought Star some chocolates and me a pretty rose plant.
It’s such a pretty plant I hope I can keep it alive. I seem to be doing better with my plants lately, my Peace Lily Plant is doing well and I also have a Parlour Palm which is now four years old. I just have to find the right place for my rose plant. At present it’s on my coffee table right in front of me so I can truly enjoy it.
It’s been such an eventful and sad week. First with a new Prime Minister, Liz Truss. I’ve not even begun to process how I feel about that. Then the passing of Our Majesty the Queen, Elizabeth II. I can’t help but feel so sad as the Queen has been a constant the whole of my life and it’s going to be hard to accept the change.
Life seems to be changing in so many ways and so quickly. It’s hard to catch your breath. But for now, I’m going to enjoy my pretty roses and know that I have family that care about us.
Linking up with Rachel and her weekly photo share.
I hope Star is feeling a bit better now. Sending love and hugs. How nice of your brother and sister in law to visit with gifts. The plant is very pretty. x
Wishing Star better health and happy days. The rose plant is lovely. Place it near a window as it needs sunlight. #MMBC
This week has been incredibly hard to process, it’s going to take time I think. The World just seems to be changing at light speed of late and it’s not easy for any of us. A beautiful rose by the way, Thanks for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
So sorry to hear Star has been poorly again. I hope she is feeling a bit better now.
It was certainly an eventful week. Going from a Queen to a King will take quite a while to get used to, I think.
I hope Star is feeling better. As for your beautiful plant, I just love roses. Try to find a spot close to a window for placement most of the time. Roses need sunlight or you could place it on a side table under a lamp. A regular lamp will do but turn it on each morning. Good luck with your plants. I hope you have a week where everyone if feeling better. #MMBC
