Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘Treatment’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Treatment
I left you last week feeling quite poorly with Covid. Graham was recovering from his heart attack and also had Covid and the Little Man was poorly as well. Thankfully, with the right treatment we are all getting better now.
On Saturday I went into hospital for my Sotrovimab infusion which is a biological treatment for Covid for those with rare conditions that affect the brain and nervous system. I started to feel better a day later, I am still unwell, but the treatment helped me turn a corner which I desperately needed to turn.
Graham and The Little Man were both poorly too but they managed to recover from Covid with just paracetamol.
The treatment that Graham received for his heart attack seems to be working well, it seems scary to think that he is now on more medication that me for the rest of his life. I’m glad our children are getting older, I would hate to think that we are both in a position of having a shorter life span and will leave them before they are fully grown and living their own lives. Mortality is a scary fact.
Talking about scary, it’s almost Halloween, we’ve been sent some goodies from Poundstretcher and I’m thinking we will have our own little Halloween party. It might help to cheer us up! I’ve just ordered a black table cloth for the kitchen. Now I’m on the hunt for suitable recipes for a scary dinner. Graham is now Covid free so I’m hoping he is still able to pick up a pumpkin or two.
Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
Glad to hear that you are all on the mend. I? hadn’t heard about that Covid treatment thing before. Wishing you all the best as you get back to your ‘old’ selves again.
I’m glad everyone is starting to feel better, hope your Halloween goes well.
I am glad you are all feeling a little better, especially you! I’m not going to lie, I was worried about you. I am glad the treatment helped. It’s good news Graham’s medication is working well. I hope you manage to have the little Halloween party and have a great weekend. x
Thanks Kim, I knew I would get it bad but thankfully the treatment was real good and I started feeling better quite quickly xx
