Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘End of 2022’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – End of 2022
It’s been a strange old year, and 2022 is on that I won’t be sad to see the end of. We’ve had some lovely moments too and these are what we have to hold on to.
I was considering that this would be the end of Word of the Week, but I am going to continue for the time being. Looking back over the past year nearly half of my personal posts have been Word of the Week and if I end it, then I’ll be losing a big part of ‘me’ here in this space. So for now, even if I have less people joining me, I will continue.
I am hoping that next year will see the end, or at least a feasible resolution, for Star’s health problems. These have impacted our lives greatly this year and stopped me from making any plans for next year. Fingers tightly crossed.
Christmas saw the end of my trusty vacuum cleaner which I’ve had for six years. (yes, it came with a five year warranty!) So, I ordered a new one on Boxing Day, then the day after I checked the delivery date and it said January 6th. I couldn’t wait that long so I cancelled the order and made a new one from somewhere else with guaranteed next day delivery. Guess what? They both arrived the next day!! Thankfully we were able to return one of them immediately, and I chose to keep the second one I ordered which was the cheapest (for the same vacuum!)
Thank you to everyone who has joined me for word of the week this year and I hope you will be back again next year! Happy New Year!
Glad you’ve decided to keep the linky going for now – it’s a big part of my personal posts too and I love joining in each week. Thank you for hosting it. Really hope that 2023 will bring a resolution for Star’s health problems too and that it will be a better year for you and your family. How funny that both the vacuum cleaners ended up arriving on the same day. Wishing you and your family all the best for 2023 and looking forward to continuing to join in with #WotW x
I am so glad you are continuing hosting WotW, I love writing my weekly post and it’s part of my blog now that I’ve been doing it for so long. Thank you for hosting every week.
I hope Star gets the help she needs, I am sure she will with you having her back.
I am glad you were able to return one of your vacuums, they’re expensive! I bought a new one yesterday, just a little one as our cordless one has stopped working. Ugh!
Wishing you and your family all the best for 2023. xxx
I too am glad that you are keeping WotW, I know I haven’t posted in quite a while but a lot has gone on and I’ve either not had time or completely forgot or haven’t been up to it. I will be back in the New Year though! I missed doing it. Really hop you can get Star’s health issues sorted out. A very Happy New Year to you and all who post on Word of the Week xx
So good that you got a new vacuum cleaner. It’s so annoying how some appliances seem to only last until just after the warranty. I love reading Word Of The Week posts and I have been meaning to join in for ages. Hopefully, now that I have a few weeks off from work I will be able to. I really hope that 2023 is kinder and that Stars’ health issues get sorted.
I’m hoping that the current level of enthusiasm and progress will continue.
