Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘Late’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. And please only add one post to the link up each week, multiple posts will be deleted. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Late
If you came here earlier you will have noticed I was late putting up my Word of the Week post. It’s been a bit of a crazy week.
I was supposed to go into hospital for my IVIG on Monday but I woke up with a migraine so I asked if I could go in late and they moved my treatment days for me. I managed to go in on Tuesday but there was a lot of traffic due to road works. So I was already late arriving at the hospital. Then the lift wasn’t working so I had to go down to a different department to use their lift. I got very confused on reaching my floor because we have moved up a level. When I used the lifts before it was a straight run down the corridor, but on this level I had to go through a whole new treatment centre just to get to my ward. I was very late but they were understanding.
On Wednesday, I wasn’t late but I fell asleep during treatment and woke up dazed and confused. I was nearly finished and I’d just received a text off Graham so I thought he was waiting for me. The lift still wasn’t working so I made my way down to the car park sending Graham a quick text to say I’d be late. But when I got there he wasn’t there. I was an hour early. I still don’t know what happened. that day.
It was probably a sign of things to come though because by Thursday my brain was frazzled. I had a shorter day at the hospital, but I’m not used to going in on Thursday so it was confusing. Then Graham had to go out at dinner time, I waved him off saying it’s ok, I can manage stir fry. My eldest daughter usually helps me when I’m on my own but she was in her room with a migraine. I managed four out of seven dinners but I was beat by then and just left everything and went to bed. I told you my brain was frazzled. I was woken up by my eldest son wondering why his dinner was late. But then Graham came home and took over dinner.
It was around 10.30pm last night when I realised I hadn’t scheduled this weeks post. I was too tired and my head was throbbing. I did try to put up my default post on my phone but I just couldn’t work it out. Oh well, I got here in the end, better late than never!
What word or phrase sums up your week this week?
Frazzled! that sounds right after all the ‘maze’ at the hospital. Hope you have a great weekend.
hehehe! I did see the earlier post. It does sound like you have had a crazy week!
What a drama getting to the hospital and getting to where you needed to be. Hospitals are always like mazes. Oh no, how confusing for you to wake up and to make your way downstairs only to be early. No wonder your brain was feeling frazzled by Thursday, you’ve had a lot going on. I hope you manage to have a nice relaxed weekend. x
Hope you’re doing better and thanks for still taking the time to share the opportunity to linkup. Take care and have a great weekend.
No wonder you’ve been frazzled and confused! Hopefully next week will be better.
Hey Raisibay
It’s always interesting to learn about new words and expand our vocabulary. Thanks for sharing your weekly word, even if it is a bit late!
Thanks
Aadiv
Oh dear what a tricky week! I hope next week is a lot better xx
Sounds like it’s been quite a confusing week for you with your treatment, trying to find the ward and getting your head round being there on a different day. It’s horrible when you wake up feeling disorientated as well. Hope that you had a more restful weekend and are feeling clearer-headed this week x #WotW
It sounds like you had a busy week! Cooking for seven people is hard work even if you’re feeling fit. I hope that you’ve had a nice relaxing holiday weekend and next week will be calmer for you 🙂
