Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘Relaxed’ and you can read more about that below.
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IF YOU WISH TO LINK UP! FROM NOW ON, THOSE NOT FOLLOWING THE RULES WILL BE DELETED.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. And please only add one post to the link up each week, multiple posts will be deleted. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week. Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
I also have a new link up open on Mondays for your recipes and food related posts. And, if you like to write bookish posts don’t forget my link up on my other blog At Home A Lot, Bookworms Monthly.
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Relaxed
It’s been half term this week. I only have one child at school but it has meant I’ve no rushing around in the morning and no getting his uniform ready. I sometimes wonder how I used to manage with three at school, I find one hard enough now. It’s been a lot more relaxed this week.
I’ve also had a lot less stress to deal with this week, which has made things more relaxed. I’ve had plenty of time to do whatever I wish whenever I wished which is not always possible. There have been no arguments or disagreements and no dealing with people and things that stress me out.
I even found my hospital treatment relaxing yesterday. I did everything myself and came home with all my stuff for doing the treatment at home next week. I will be more relaxed knowing that I don’t have to keep going to hospital and can do the treatment in my own bedroom.
I’ve had time to read lots and I’ve got a lot done but in a relaxing way rather than rushing around.
I dyed my hair the other day. It was getting quite grey and even though I don’t mind going grey, when people keep commenting on it, it makes you feel self conscious. I have been putting off dying it because I normally do it over the sink and the bending last time was really painful. So, I asked others about washing the dye out in the shower and found it wasn’t the nightmare I thought it would be. In fact, when I did do it I found it really relaxing with no bending at all. Of course, I went for a boring brown colour so there wasn’t much mess anyway. At least the grey is covered up.
Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
The battle of the greys. Strangely enough, no one has said anything to us about ours. That would make me more self-conscious too. The half term break has been less hectic for us too and we’ve had a good one. I hope you manage doing your treatment yourself next week. All the best.
I’m glad you’ve had a more relaxed week, it is nice not to have to rush about. I must admit I’m not entirely looking forward to starting all the school runs again on Monday!
That is a very good word of the week. I am glad to hear you had good week and the treatment went so well. Wishing you a relaxed June as well.

Ahh! I love the no rushing about on mornings during the school holidays. I don’t do much rushing now with my youngest mostly sorting herself for college but it is nice not to have to set an alarm clock.
I am glad you have had a relaxed week. It sounds like you have really got the hang of doing your treatment.
I used to have to bend over a bath full of water to rinse the dye of my hair, it ached my back but now that we have a shower I just do it stood in there! It is so much easier as long as I rinse the wall off as soon as I am done! lol x
Glad you had a more relaxed week and time to yourself to do the things you wanted to do. Hope your first time doing the treatment at home goes well. It’s good to know that washing hair dye out in the shower works well! Much easier than bending over the sink. #WotW
