Wild Flowers and Music
On Tuesday we went to Boo and Star’s School to watch Boo in her annual Band Musicianship concert.
When we arrived (I don’t go to the school often) the first thing I noticed was all the wild flowers they had growing around the school. They were so pretty. The school was only built a couple of years ago, Star actually started in the old school which has now been knocked down. I think it’s lovely that the school is decorated with wild flowers.
The car park and the path down to the school is surrounded by these beautiful flowers.
It certainly brightened up what was a dreary day with rain.
The concert was really good too. Last year it seemed to go on forever, but this year it was a much shortened version. I think they split up the year groups. It was also nice to hear a wide range of songs, where last year a lot of bands played the same song, this year it seemed they all had something different to play. The older kids even wrote their own songs, although they had mostly very depressing lyrics. Oh the lives of teens, how tragic it must be.
Here’s a photo of Boo on stage with her guitar, she never missed a note and played perfectly. Thanks to a bit of extra practice with her Dad.
Her band was called Massively Rich, and they played Price Tag by Jessie J.
