Word of the Week – Busy

Now, I know my idea of busy is probably far fetched from a lot of other’s idea of busy, but I think this word suits my week.

We had a day out at Bletchley Park, which I’ll post about soon, and it was really busy and fun day. It was a fairly long drive, around 70 miles , so it’s a good job hubby enjoys driving. Luckily we found it straight away without getting lost which is a bonus.

We have had fun with some half term activities like painting, crafting and making slime (Which didn’t work again!)

I have sorted the girl’s clothes and removed everything that no longer fits. There is only two years between my girls but Star is in clothing two years above her age and Boo is in the right size for her age. It’s a shame but there are very few hand me downs, I’m not storing clothes for four years!

I have deep cleaned my kitchen. I spent over and hour and a half cleaning all the places that usually make do with a quick wipe. It was hard work but very satisfying.

I have done so much washing this week it’s unbelievable, I thought that with the kids off school there would be less, but it just keeps piling up!

We managed a trip to Hobby Craft where I bought some more supplies (lots of wool and patterns!)

I have even done a fair bit of crochet. I made hubby a new hat, which I may have done a little too big for a beanie so I’ll be keeping it as a slouch beanie, haha, well I have learnt a lesson! I’ve also discovered bliss is listening to a good book on Audible while crocheting, it’s my new favourite thing to do.

I’m planning a busy weekend too… okay, maybe a trip out for lunch and a big pile of ironing!

How’s your week been?

Sounds like a very busy and productive week! It must be a little frustrating not being able to do hand-me-downs. I’m lucky in that I can currently pass Jessica’s clothes straight to Sophie although I suspect they may end up in the same size at some point and the hand-me-down situation may then end up reversing! Love the sound of crocheting while listening to a good book – that does sound very relaxing 🙂 #WotW

Your kind of busy sounds good. Lots ticked off your to do list at least. Looking forward to Bletchley Park trip. One on my list. I can imagine crocheting and podcasts work well together. I should give it a go. Have a good week. #wotw

It sounds like you have had a great half term….
Ahh. It must be very frustrating not to share clothes between your girls. There’s 5 years between my girls but up until recently Becky my teen was small for her age and the girls shared tops….Now she’s suddenly grown and I don’t think they will be much more sharing and not passing anything down for a while….
You have been busy. You seem to have done more in your half term than we did. hehehe x

Wow, you’ve packed in loads this half-term Anne go you ! I bet you will be glad of the rest next week when school starts again. I’ve just got a 3 month free trial of Audiable, hubby has pinched the first go but I’m planning what to listen to next month. I’ve spent the whole of today deep cleaning and sorting, feels so good doesn’t it. Hope you are having a lovely weekend x

It sounds like you have had a very productive week! There is nothing like a deep clean to feel like you have achieved something great with your day. I will have to try audio books for when I crochet, I am not sure if I will be able to focus on them both at the same time #wotw

That really sounds like a busy and productive week to me! And reminded me that I need to purge my son’s clothes again. He is small so we get a lot of hand me downs from friends & his classmates. I need to get rid of the ones that doesnt fit him anymore. #wotw

A little Note About Positive Reviews on Raisie Bay

A little Note About Positive Reviews on Raisie Bay

Some people only write reviews when things go wrong with products, which is good because it lets people know that there could be potential problems. I’ve also seen negative feedback with say things like, I had to return this item because the colour did not suit me…is this useful?

I write reviews on most items I buy because I like to give genuine feedback. If I have a genuine problem with a product I will write my review in the appropriate place.

I write reviews on my blog too, but they are mostly positive. Why? Because I only write reviews for the things I’ve loved. If I don’t love them I let the person who sent me them know with details why and then let them decided if they would rather me write a negative review or not write one at all. It’s always the latter.

This is my blog, my place and I’ll let you know about the things I love. If you want to find out what other people have hated about the product then you will need to look elsewhere.

My reviews may all be positive, but they are still genuine.
