Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘recovery’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Recovery
I started the week thinking that I would be in hospital every day, but when I got there on Monday they told me that my treatment was changing already. (I had talked about this with my consultant, I just didn’t expect it to be so soon.) So instead of five days of infusions I only had to do three. I’m happy because they do make me feel rather rubbish for a few days so now I can expect a recovery by the weekend.
I’m hoping that my infusions give me enough boost to get through Christmas and they will last until my next session which is in January. I won’t have a complete recovery from my illness, but they do make me feel a little better and stop it from getting worse.
I also feel that I am recovering from my depression. I was really down for a while but now I’m beginning to feel the Christmas spirit. I’ve watched loads of Christmas movies already, decorated my house and even started wrapping my presents. I took part in a Secret Santa and I’ve been getting little gifts in the post and I also joined a Christmas card swap so I have some cards too.
I hope you have all had a wonderful week and stayed safe in this awful weather.
Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
That is great that your treatment has changed already and I hope it helps you especially over Christmas.
I am glad you are feeling better mentally. I have been in a grump all week but today I am feeling much more positive after being out to see my dad and seeing the sun shine.
Have a great weekend x
I’m glad things are feeling better and that you even got decorations done! So happy for you. Things are beginning to shape up around here too!
I hope all went well with your treatment and that it gives you some relief over Christmas.
I’m so glad that you don’t feel down now. Christmas movies are the best. They have really helped to give me a pick-me-up too! xx
Recovery is a nice word. I’m glad you’re feeling better overall and hope that your treatment helps you to feel better over the Christmas period. Lovely to be able to start feeling some of the Christmas spirit and get the house decorated. We still have to get ours up but hopefully they’ll be up in the next few days! #WotW
