Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘New Year’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Happy New Year
This time we were all looking forward to Christmas Day, I hope it went well for you and you had a lovely time. Now it’s time for me to wish you a Happy New Year.
We had a nice Christmas, lots of food and fun and presents. We will be doing our usual New Year traditions tonight by watching a movie and eating party food and cheese and crackers. We will also have a bit of alcohol and wait for the fireworks that go off at midnight. Then we’ll meet our neighbours in the street to call out Happy New Year.
Fingers crossed that 2022 will start to see things getting better. So I wish all my lovely readers a very happy New Year.
I’m glad you had a nice Christmas.
Happy new year, wishing you all the best for 2022 x
Thanks Kim, you too x
A happy and healthy new year to you and your family Anne xx
Happy New Year, Anne. I love that you go out at midnight and celebrate with your neighbours. What a fab image!
Happy New Year to you and yours. Let’s hope that 2022 will bring us all better fortune.
Happy New Year to you and your family, Anne. I love the sound of your New Year’s Eve tradition – how lovely to meet your neighbours out in the street and wish them a happy new year. Glad you had a nice Christmas too. #WotW
