Hi, I’m Ash the cat and I’ve just turned four years old. Time has gone so quickly but I’ve struggled to fit in with my family. The Mum has just bought a new door runner though and its really great, both me and Sabrina (the other cat) love it.
Mum thinks Sabrina (my older sister) looks better on the mat because she is black and white. But I don’t care, its somewhere to lie down in front of the sun that comes through the patio doors. Mum has also replaced the curtains…okay, I kind of wreck them when I was smaller, they were great to climb up and pull. I did make a bit of a mess pulling threads out and making them look tatty. So far, I’ve been good and not touched the new curtains. Maybe I’m feeling a bit too grown up now that I’m four. I don’t want to climb the curtains anymore.
Sabrina might look better on the mat but I look better on the sofa.
Mum brought the sofas at the same time she got me which was very brave as I scratched everything. But I didn’t scratch the sofas at all. They are pretty cosy and I love to stretch out and sleep. You can give me a tickle or a stroke, but don’t expect me to sit on your lap. Sabrina is the cat that sits on laps. Not me. I like to curl up on the sofas.
Mum thinks I match the sofa because the cushions are almost the same colour as my stripes. No-one has tried to sit on me yet though, so I can’t be that camouflaged. Mind you, you can tell I’m there though because I snore so loudly.
I don’t always sleep though. I also like to eat, especially Sabrina’s food. She has to have special food because she’s so old and it’s much tastier than mine. She’s fed in the hallway and any chance I get, I rush through the door and get my nose stuck in until I get told off. Sometimes, I get some of Sabrina’s special food as a little treat, yum yum. The big girl that gives it to me makes me do tricks for it though. It can be a bit annoying but it tastes so good I don’t mind standing on my back legs and giving her a ‘head nudge.’
I like going out too, but it’s okay because I wear a collar and I’m chipped. I’ve also had all my vaccinations and have regular flea treatment (my goodness, those fleas love to feed on me) and worm treatment. I’m not sure what that’s about as I’m not keen on worms, I might play with them in the garden, but I don’t eat them. I do eat spiders and flies though. I also eat birds and frogs. This makes my Mum go eek, but it’s in my nature to do a bit of hunting. Sometimes, if I catch something nice, I will take it home and leave at the door to show Mum what a good hunter I am. I don’t always kill it either because I’m pretty sure she’d like to have a go at killing it herself. What a treat!
Anyway, that’s enough from me. I hope you like my photos. Mum can’t catch a photo of me when I’m awake I’m too quick for her. If you’d like to see me as a kitten you can see my first post here. Mum will be back soon with her updates. Leave me a message if you wish.
Love Ash the Cat x
I bought my sofas from SCS and although the wait was a little longer than I expected I was very pleased with the service I got and I was instantly approved for 4 years interest free credit (Which is paid for now.) The sofa still look really good and I’m very happy with them.
Aww! That is crazy to think Ash is 4 already. How time flies. It looks like they are very happy on the sofa, all stretched out. x
Aw, Ash is so funny! I truly had a chuckle at his comment about you wanting to kill the things he takes home for you.
I loved all of Ash’s comments about her home and family. She’s a doll! #MMBC
Awww Ash is adorable. X #mysundaysnapshot
I loved reading all about your life, Ash! It’s good to hear that you don’t climb the curtains any more, so hopefully Mum’s new curtains will survive.
Oh cute pictures – Thanks for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
