This week I bought some begonias (offically Begonia Beauvillia) for my plant ladder. They looked a bit wilted when they arrived so I put them out in the sunshine and gave them some water. This was Friday and as you may have noticed, for a lot of the UK it was the hottest day of the year so far, and boy was it hot. Then on Saturday, it rained all day!
I guess my new begonias have been truly watered in as they were looking a bit waterlogged this morning when I took this photo.
I’m hoping that the promised sunshine this week will have them looking a little happier but the leaves look healthy.
I have also noticed that my Pussy Willow Tree has been overtaken by weeds. It’s too far up the garden for me to get too, so it will be a treat for Graham when he gets up and I nag him to get rid of those weeds. I really don’t want to lose another tree. Nothing wants to grow in my garden as it is! I wish I could get Charlie Dimmock over to have a look.
It’s Father’s Day today and I had a card made for Graham from the kids, it’s personalised with a really great photo of him singing on stage. I’m sure he’ll like it. I’ve also bought him a shirt. He loves shirts but I tend to buy him t-shirts as they wash easier. But this is a lovely cool cotton short sleeved shirt with a revere collar, so nice for the summer and I’m pretty sure he’ll love it. He went to bed late last night so I don’t expect him to get up until lunch time.
I’ve also popped a box of Ferrero Rocher into the shopping delivery for him. That will be arriving about 2pm. I think I’ve spoiled him enough today.
Now, do you think he’ll repay me with rescuing my Willow Tree? Fingers crossed 🙂

Oh dear, they do look a bit waterlogged but I suppose they needed the water after all the heat and sunshine on Friday.
I hope Graham has a great day today. It sounds like he’s getting very spoiled. x
Sounds like a lot of nice treats for Father’s Day. Got my fingers crossed too that he rescues your tree. I hope everyone had a good Father’s Day. #MMBC
I hope that Graham sorted out your willow tree. It’s been really hot here and I’m looking forward to some rain to water my thirsty summer plants :o)

I hope Graham liked his Father’s Day presents and he sorted the tree out for you! One of my favourite plants is looking a lot less healthy this summer and I’m sure it’s because of the weeds.
Waterlogged maybe, still beautiful. Thanks for sharing and for linking up with #MySundaySnapshot.
Wish we could use some of your water on my plants here. The little plant still looks beautiful. Sounds like you got some wonderful treats for Graham. Happy Father’s Day to him!
