Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘presents’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Presents
Christmas means a lot of things to a lot of people and for many presents is not the true meaning of Christmas. But this week I’ve been wrapping everything up. Presents for everyone! Just two days to go!
This year we have really cut back but the kids have not really asked for much anyway. It’s still nice to have a few presents wrapped up under the tree ready to open on Christmas morning though.
Things have been a bit rough lately, Graham broke down in the car in freezing conditions last week and he didn’t get home until the following evening. We didn’t get a courtesy car until yesterday morning, so that was a whole week without a car.
We’ve had a lot of illness in the house, and things have been a bit stressful. I was supposed to have been in hospital this week but after much deliberation I’ve decided to postpone treatment until January.
Thank you all for joining in with Word of the Week and Merry Christmas to you all xx
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas.
My two haven’t asked for much this year either, they’re so hard to buy for the older they get.
Poor Graham and such a shame about the car. I think you made the right choice about postponing your treatment. I hope next year is a better one with less illness. x
I hope you had a lovely Christmas. So sorry to hear about the car breaking down. That was definitely another stressful event that you didn’t need! Hopefully 2023 will be a better year xx
I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas. So sorry to hear about the car breaking down.
