Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week. A nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week. My word this week is ‘peaceful’ and you can read more about that below.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase. But please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week. There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK – Peaceful
Finally I have a better word for you this week, it has definitely been more peaceful in my home. Things are still not perfect, or even properly resolved, but peace has prevailed and it feels good.
The kids have gone back to school. The Little Man was so excited to go in on Monday with his broken arm, he knew he’d be the centre of attention. Unfortunately, he wasn’t so delighted with being the centre of attention for more than a couple of hours and came home feeling very quiet. He didn’t want to talk to anyone for the rest of the evening as he had spent the day answering so many questions. Peaceful yes, but I did feel sorry for him. The rest of the week has been better.
The girls went back part time again and have been stuck in the SEND rooms. They are not ready yet to leave the peaceful environment to go and mix with the other children. Star is still having serious health issues which do not help, and Boo is now having counselling for her anxiety. I really feel for both of them but we are muddling along the best we can and the school is being great.
Life at home has settled down and peace has resumed again. I hate big family fall outs, especially when it’s so hard to escape each other. Honestly, I love my family, and I love having them near, but we also need some peace sometimes. My dream would be a big house in the countryside with annexes for people to go when they needed to be alone.
It is peaceful with my children at school and daughter at work. The other two tend to be quiet doing their own stuff during the day. I get to listen to my audio books and work on my blog.
We’ve even been getting more sleep at night now the Little Man is no longer in pain with his arm and Star is managing to sleep again.
Now it’s over to you, what word or phrase sums up your week this week?
I’m glad it’s been a more peaceful week. I can imagine it must have been exhausting for Little Man being the centre of attention! Glad that he is no longer in pain with his arm and hopefully things have settled back down at school for him. Sorry to hear that Star is still struggling with serious health issues and hope that things improve for her on this front and that the counselling is helping Boo’s anxiety. A big house with annexes to escape to when people need space sounds perfect – glad that things have settled back down on that front and it’s more peaceful at home again now as well. Hope that the weekend continues to be a peaceful one. #WotW
Thank you Louise
I’d love a house like that and there’s only four of us! I think a lot of kids – with or without anxieties have found the return to school very difficult, I’m glad that your girls are able to stay where it’s peaceful. Also glad your Little Man is feeling better. Hope your peace continues

So glad your week has been better. Peaceful sounds like a perfect word. Poor Little Man. All the excitement of going in and then been worn out by it. At least he’s in less pain with his arm now. I’m sure you must be relieved that Boo and Star are going into school. It’s not easy for any of them, but a whole lot harder with anxiety and not being well. Thank goodness that you’ve been able to access some help for Boo. Hope your week continues to be peaceful.
I am glad things have been better for you this week. You need a week of peace.
Aww! Bless your Little Man. It sounds like a tough day being the centre of attention.
It’s good news that your girls are back at school. I do feel for them both with the health issues and anxiety. It sounds like the school is being a great help.
I am glad life has settled down a bit and you have enjoyed some peace while most of your family has been out x

I’m glad your week was more peaceful. It really does help lift the mood of the house. I can understand Little Man being quiet. I don’t think I would have liked lots of questions. I’m glad the girls are getting help at school. Getting the school to support your children can be a battle sometimes. Your time this week sounds like bliss #WotW
