This week I had to take Star for an MRI which was a bit unpleasant for her. On the way home we popped into a cute little sweetshop and bakery. I love the name, Stickie Fingers.
The appointment was unpleasant but Star was amazingly brave. We were at the hospital all afternoon and the sun was starting to set on the way home.
Graham thought it would be a nice idea to stop off at a sweetshop bakery and bought her a delicious pancake with ice cream. (Yes, I know it was pancake day this week and we’d already had our fair share.)
While I was waiting in the car I looked down the street and saw the sun setting. So snapped this next photo.
It was a pleasant end to a stressful afternoon.
The following day I was back at the hospital for an x-ray. We spend so much time at that place it’s like our second home. I was seen pretty quickly though and my experience was not as unpleasant as Star’s. In a few weeks I’ll be back for a CT scan which is actually a new one for me. If we were playing hospital test Bingo then I think CT is probably the only one I’ve yet to have. I can cross of ultrasound, MRI, blood tests, ECG, EMG, NCS, Lumbar puncture and x-rays. Star has had plenty of CT scans on her neck though, when she was younger we would call it the doughnut machine. Makes a change from pancakes I guess!
What a nice treat for you all to stop off at the sweetshop/bakery. Whenever my girls have hospital appointments we always stop off for a treat on the way home.
