Hello and welcome to the home of Word of the Week, a nice and simple weekly linky, with everyone welcome to pop by and share. The idea of the linky is to reflect back on your past week and share it with us. It’s great if you can sum it up in a word or phrase, hence giving us your Word of the Week.
I’m not totally strict on using just a word or phrase but please try to stick to the theme of summing up your week.
There are not too many rules with this linky, just remember to read at least another couple of posts in the link up after adding your link. I will read and comment on all posts and tweet them out for you. I also have a Pinterest board devoted to Word of the Week and I will add posts to Mix Please add the badge below to your post so that others may find us and join in. If you comment or tweet then please use the hashtag #WotW
Word of the Week is open from 6am on Friday Morning to 12 noon on Monday. Plenty of time to join in!
If you are unfamiliar with the Word of the Week linky then please feel free to ask any questions. New linkers are always welcome, we love to hear what you have been up to in the past week.
MY WORD OF THE WEEK.

Last Friday was my uncle’s funeral. I wasn’t able to go as I had no transport, but I heard that he had a good send off. It’s hard to believe that my aunt and uncle were in my life for so long, and now I have had to say a final goodbye to them both.
Today, I will be attending the funeral of my Sister-in-Law from my first marriage. She was a big part of my life for 15 years from when I met her brother when I was 16. She was more like a mother to my ex husband and he lived with her before we moved in together. I’ve not seen much of her since my divorce, but she did invite me and Graham to her wedding to her current husband. It’s another final goodbye.
It’s sad saying goodbye, but it’s something you have to deal with because there is only one thing in life that we can be sure of, and that is that one day we will all die.
I saw another of my Sister-in-laws the other day. This one was the ex wife of my brother and I’ve not seen her for many years. I was a bridesmaid at their wedding when I was just 6 years old, so she was a huge part of my life while I was growing up. It wasn’t until I saw her that I realised how much I missed her from my life. My brother has another wife now, they’ve been together for 30 years and she’s very special to me too, but sometimes saying goodbye to past relatives even when they are still alive can be difficult.
Sorry my post is so sad this week. I’ll be reading all your posts and hopefully they’ll make me feel happier.
First, here is my badge. If you have trouble adding it you can always just link back to my blog.
Now it’s your turn to tell us what you’ve been up to this week.
