Well almost, it will be fourteen months tomorrow.
We took Star to the hospital yesterday to see her consultant and he was very pleased with her progress. She is now on six monthly check ups! Wow!
Of course, fourteen months ago when this all started, I would never have believed it would have taken so long to get her fixed, or that she would have had to endure so much.
It’s been a long journey with five stays in hospital and numerous CT scans. When she was first fitted with a halo I thought things couldn’t get any worse. Then she had to endure surgery and have the halo back. Now she is left with limited mobility in her neck but at least she is safe and pain free.
She is one brave little girl, People say that all the time, but we have been there all the way and it’s truly amazing how she has coped with everything.
Our next step is getting her back to school.
